IHAS Injectable Cosmetic Treatment Providers Quality Assurance Mark:
The Independent Healthcare Advisory Services (IHAS) is responsible for administering the Cosmetic Treatments Quality Assurance Mark through CHKS via the “treatmentsyoucantrust” website.
The scheme medical and dental practitioners and registered nurses who provide injectable cosmetic treatments such as BOTOX®, Dysport™, VISTABEL®, Restylane® and other dermal filler products. The site also recently extended to provides a self regulation registration scheme for cosmetic laser and IPL treatment providers, aimed at the now deregulated beauty and non medical cosmetic sector.
The Quality Assurance Mark (shown above) provides reassurance to members of the public that service providers are qualified, operating to an approved standard and have appropriate training, facilities and equipment to enable them to provide a safe and effective service.
The IHAS Quality Assurance Mark is backed by the Department of Health and professional regulators (General Medical Council, General Dental Council and Nursing and Midwifery Council) to enhance the protection of patients. Also the insurance and indemnity organisations are offering support in the form of favourable terms to IHAS registered providers.
