Revalidation & Responsible Officer services

Every licensed doctor needs a prescribed connection to a designated body and a Responsible Officer to revalidate. For smaller organisations, providing that in-house is costly and burdensome — so we provide it for you.

The challenge

Designated body obligations, without the overhead

Under the Medical Profession (Responsible Officers) Regulations 2010, designated bodies must appoint a Responsible Officer with a prescribed connection to their doctors, who makes revalidation recommendations to the GMC. Where an organisation has only a handful of doctors, building that function internally is expensive and administratively heavy.

We solve this by acting as your external Responsible Officer — or by providing a GMC Suitable Person for individual doctors — removing the cost and administrative burden entirely.

What's included

  • Designated body setup and recognition
  • External Responsible Officer appointment
  • GMC Suitable Person services for unconnected doctors
  • RO documentation, job descriptions and compliance paperwork
  • GMC and NHS England liaison
  • Doctor database, appraisal and revalidation tracking
  • Appraiser coordination and revalidation recommendations
  • NHS England returns and annual board reporting
